Clark County Equine Foundation (“CCEF”) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) committed to help support equine related activities and projects.   Our purpose is to obtain and responsibly manage financial  resources to support all disciplines of equine sports, activities, education and facilities for youth and adults in Southwest Washington.

Through financially supporting various equine events, projects and activities it is the mission of CCEF to ensure that Southwest Washington continues to have the facilities and opportunity for equine events, to raise awareness of the humane treatment of equine and other livestock and to promote youth involvement in equine sports.

Through participating in equine activities, youth (and adults) gain the following:

« They are taught responsibility as they are required to routinely care for another living creature

« They build confidence in themselves and their abilities

« They develop leadership skills and character

« They build a connection with their equine partners

« They learn respect for livestock and the land

« They gain a community of supporters, competitors and fellow enthusiasts whom share a similar interest

Not only do equestrian activities support individuals they also support our local economy.  It is estimated that there is one horse for every 13 residents of Clark County (over 35,000 horses in Clark County).  Equestrian households contribute $161 million to the local economy, $86 million of which is directly related to equine related purchases.  Clark County has a longstanding history of a thriving equestrian community and CCEF is committed to ensuring this continues.
